Shakti

Shakti is the Hindu Goddess of change and transformation.

It is said when she comes into support you, your life is about to undergo a transformation. She responds to bring about your heart’s desire! She asks you - are you ready for this change? did you want it so badly? She will enable this if your feelings are true, deep and honest, and if you are willing to explore ways of being authentic in the world.

Sometimes people and situations come into your life as agency to turn your life upside down.

In this painting the luminosity gives us the opportunity to explore the different sides and ways of seeing the upside down-ness. The metamorphic qualities that light can bring into a dark area. Purple is a colour which I have explored on all levels historically and spiritually. It is a constant source of inspiration in my works.
